Having qualified in 2011, Dr Paul John Jones set up his first dental practice in 2015 with a commitment to bring exceptional dental care to his hometown of Merthyr Tydfil.
Offering both private and NHS services, his vision was for a community that supported every stage of oral health from routine care to cosmetic work and advanced surgery, always with an exceptional quality of clinical care and human understanding.
Alongside his passion for his work, Dr Paul John Jones is also committed to continuous learning and nurturing professional talent in others. As a result, the team has now grown beyond the four walls of the Merthyr Tydfil HQ to include nine dental practices across Wales, each fostering trusted relationships with local residents.
Dr Paul John Jones is an advocate of bringing expertise, experience and empathy to every aspect of his work. It's with that ethos that he founded his first clinic, which has ultimately become Knights Dental.
He himself is qualified and skilled in all areas from general dentistry to oral surgery, while his ongoing desire to learn has seen him add two Masters degrees and two diplomas to his dental qualifications so far, and he's not stopping there. In particular he has a keen interest in anxiety management and supporting nervous patients, nurturing professional relationships both himself and through his team to ensure people feel safe and supported about visiting their Knights Dental dentist.
Furthermore, Dr Paul John Jones is tireless about sharing knowledge and skills, and it's his desire to train young dentists to deliver excellent and accessible dentistry to communities in Wales that has driven the expansion of Knights Dental to date.
So far there are ten Knights Dental clinics across Wales. In addition to our first practice at Merthyr Tydfil, we have dedicated teams in Abertillery, Brecon, Brynmawr, Ferndale, Gwaelod-Y-Garth (North Cardiff), Radyr (Cardiff), Chepstow, Pontypridd and Rhoose. Each location is committed to its local community, rooted in the Knights Dental ethos of care, compassion and community, whilst also reflecting the wants and needs of their own region.
