Following a referral, your patient will be contacted to arrange a consultation appointment. Having ascertained all the necessary information, we will speak to them about all costs and recommended treatments, and provide them with a full report.

Dr Honey qualified from Bristol University and now works at our Gwaelod-Y-Garth practice. She is an experienced dentist with a special interest in Oral Surgery, having completed an advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Surgery and achieved registration on the Welsh Dentist with Enhanced Skills register.
Dr Honey is also highly trained in conscious sedation and dental implantology, undertaking advanced postgraduate training in conscious sedation as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Implant Dentistry.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Honey is one of our Educational Supervisors for Dental Foundation Training, supporting the development of newly qualified dentists.

Dr Jacob Taekke qualified in Denmark in 2001 and moved to Somerset in 2003. He holds 2 postgraduate degrees in Dental Implantology and Oral Surgery.
Dr Taekke take has a special interest and takes referrals in both dental implants and clear tooth aligner systems. Dr Taekke has been placing dental implants since 2008 and has placed over 1000 dental implants, with experience in many implant systems. His experience is invaluable, and he shares this by mentoring others in the field of Dental Implantology.

Dr Dewhurst brings a wealth of experience to helping his patients transform their smiles. A holistic patient centred approach and facially driven treatment planning are at the heart of his practicing philosophy.
He is committed to pain-free treatment - a topic on which he lectures- and is an experienced dental sedationist with a calming and empathetic approach.
Dr Dewhurst has demonstrated his dedication to excellence in dentistry, completing both the Diploma in dental implants and the PGCert in orthodontics. He was recognised with Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons in 2018.
